You don't need previous Virtual Assistant experience.

What Does a Virtual Assistant Actually Do?
A Virtual Assistant — often called a VA — supports businesses with everyday tasks that can often be completed online.
Depending on your interests and abilities, this could include:
Creating social media graphics
Writing and preparing social media posts
Organising contacts and customer information
Updating databases
Booking appointments
Managing calendars
Preparing emails
Responding to routine enquiries

Learn the Tools Businesses Are Using
Rather than learning digital skills without knowing how they apply in the real world, you'll practise using tools and systems for practical business tasks.
GEM Software
Learn practical business administration skills such as managing contacts, updating customer information, booking appointments, maintaining calendars, organising follow-ups and working with business enquiries. GEM is a white label version of one of the biggest softwares currently being used world wide. Learning the skills to operate this opens many doors in the online world.
ChatGPT & AI
Learn how to use ChatGPT effectively to brainstorm ideas, draft content, prepare emails, create headlines and calls to action, and turn ideas into useful business content.
Just as importantly, you'll learn how to review AI-generated work, protect private information and make sure what you create is appropriate before it is used.
Canva
Develop practical design skills by creating social media posts, stories, carousels, flyers, banners and other business graphics.
You'll learn about layouts, fonts, colours, images, spacing, branding and how to prepare finished files correctly.
Social Media
Learn how businesses plan their social media rather than simply posting randomly.
Explore content ideas, create graphics and captions, build content calendars and learn how approved posts can be scheduled.
This Isn't About Sitting Through an Online Course
You'll work individually with a trainer.
Your trainer demonstrates skills, practises them with you and helps you complete tasks at an appropriate level of support.
A typical session may include:
1. Checking in
How are you feeling? What's your energy like today? What would be realistic to work on?
2. Reviewing what you've already learned
We'll revisit previous skills and recognise the progress you're making.
3. Learning one new skill
Instead of overwhelming you with information, your trainer can demonstrate a practical skill and work through it with you.
4. Practising
You'll have the opportunity to actually complete the task with support available when you need it.
5. Planning your next step
We'll save your work, review what you've accomplished and decide together what comes next.
Learn at Your Pace
There is no expectation that every participant should progress at exactly the same speed.
Sessions are generally 60–90 minutes, with shorter sessions and breaks available where needed.
Training may usually occur once or twice per week, depending on your individual goals and agreed arrangements.
Support may be provided online, via Zoom calls.
Every 8–12 weeks, we can review your progress, confidence, completed work and support needs and adjust your learning goals accordingly.
The aim isn't to rush you through a program.
The aim is to help you develop skills you can actually use.

As your confidence grows, individual skills can start coming together into projects.
For example, you might create:
A social media project
Develop five branded social media graphics with matching captions.
A content project
Create a month's worth of content ideas for a fictional business.

Organise a mock customer database and manage a simulated appointment-booking process.
A newsletter project
Prepare content and build a newsletter inside GEM Software.
You begin with fictional information and demonstration accounts so you can practise in a supported environment before progressing to approved real-world tasks where appropriate.
Build Something You Can Show
As you develop your skills, selected projects can become part of a personal portfolio demonstrating what you're capable of doing.
Instead of simply saying:
"I've learned social media."
You may be able to show examples of graphics you've created.
Instead of:
"I know how to use business software."
You may be able to demonstrate how you've managed a simulated enquiry, booked an appointment and updated its progress.
Instead of:
"I can create content."
You may have actual examples of captions, emails, flyers or content calendars you've prepared.
That portfolio can then support the next stage of your employment journey.
When You're Ready, We Start Looking Towards Work
Learning the software is only part of the program.
As your skills and confidence develop, Phoenix can help you explore what your version of work might look like.
That may include identifying the VA tasks you enjoy most, preparing a résumé or portfolio, creating a service profile, practising interviews or client conversations, and exploring employment or optional self-employment.
Where appropriate, you can also learn about quoting, invoicing and setting clear service boundaries.
The goal is to create an individual next-step plan towards paid work.
Employment isn't guaranteed — but you'll be developing practical skills, experience and confidence that can help you move towards your employment goals.

Regular Check-Ins - Community Catch Up: We have a regular check-in meeting 'The Community Catch-up' to discuss your progress, address any challenges or concerns you may have, and provide guidance and encouragement to keep you on track towards your goals. This also allows you to connect with other entrepreneurs both in the NDIS and our regular GEM Software members.
Resource Sharing: We'll share valuable resources, tools, and best practices to help you optimise your business operations, improve your marketing efforts, and maximise your potential for success. You have a membership area you can log into and do any additional mini course we have in there for you and download a wealth of business resources.

Private Discord Chat: When you work with us you are set up with your own private Discord chat and in your own chat you have access to Debbie Mewes (CEO) your assigned coach, & our tech team. You can ask questions in here at anytime and tag us so we get notifications.

Can I combine my NDIS funding with your services?
Yes we work this program of support, building of your business, and continued ongoing support within the NDIS framework. Based off an existing program for entreprenurs this has been adapted for participants of the NDIS to help them get self sufficient with their own ventures.
Hourly rate set & paid by the NDIS for the front end consultations & support for specialised employment assistance. This includes the specialised technical knowledge support staff require to build out your business assets in a professional & timely manner.
We anticipate for most people 4 hours a week 2 hours one on one with yourself, and 2 hours back end support & design staff building your business assets.
Weekly Check-In: Once your business is set up and launched, if you would like your Entrepreneurial Support to check in weekly to just touch base and help you with anything you need. You can arrange this service ongoing. Things that we can help you with once you are up and running, are your emails, responding to clients, adding images or new pages to your website, adding new products to your website, adding new content to your course or membership, support with your marketing, helping you with your social media and ads. Consider this you own private support staff helping your run your business.
